Mansfield Ski Resort's Tube Slide offers unstructured play on the slopes

If you’ve spent any amount of time at a playground then you’ve seen that small children love to slide down slides. Now you can bring the twisting, turning fun to the slopes by adding a play area for little skiers to enjoy!

As more and more ski resorts look to increase the number of activities on the hill besides skiing, many are choosing to add fun, stimulating play products for children. Mansfield Ski Club, a ski resort near the village of Mansfield, Ontario, chose GameTime’s PowerScape Tube Slide (see above). This unique feature is located at the top of Hector’s Hallow ski hill (a multi-feature area geared towards young skiers), and gives kids a welcomed play break in between skiing.

PowerScape Timbers: Modern & environmentally-friendly take on a childhood favourite

When we were growing up, a clubhouse was a sacred place to let imaginations run free and play in a world of your own making. Kids would build a clubhouse or fort out of almost anything- scrap lumber, branches or even blankets over chairs.

The designers at GameTime, a division of PlayCore and North America’s leading manufacturer of commercial playgrounds, custom play spaces and outdoor fitness equipment, have taken a modern twist on an old childhood favourite with PowerScape Timbers.

Water Odyssey provides 'winterizing' tips for closing down spray pads

By now, most Canadians are already sporting double layered clothing, thermal snow boots and have equipped their cars with snow tires in preparation for the frigid months ahead.

While you may be ready for your community? Most outdoor facilities close down for the cold season; some requiring extra precautions to withstand the harsh weather conditions.

GTfit seniors

Enjoy fresh air and exercise with GTfit outdoor fitness equipment for ages 50+

Experts claim that seniors should aim to be as active as possible. Studies show that older adults who stay physically active by exercising experience long-term health benefits.

Incorporating a regular exercise routine can improve health for people with diseases and disabilities, as well as cognitive function. Exercising in nature has even more added benefits since it helps reduce stress and increase self-esteem.
